A fictionalized documentary film. It is the third part of the "camp trilogy" after Death Letters and The Traveler - Operation Intelligence. It takes up the important subject of the martyrdom of the Polish clergy in German concentration camps, a subject that has so far been neglected by documentary filmmakers. (more...) The film has both a historical thread - the narrative of historians specializing in the subject (Dr. Anna Jagodzińska - IPN and Dr. Robert Zadura), as well as a personal thread, based on the memories of witnesses, clergy - participants in the camp ordeal who managed to survive. These are Rev. Canon Leon Stępniak and Bishop Adam Kozłowiecki. They conduct a narrative in which are interwoven the recollections of the priests - prisoners of concentration camps relating to the profiles of five of the blessed priests who died a martyr's death in Dachau. The majority of the clergy persecuted by the Nazis, three-fourths of them Polish, were gathered in this camp. They are Father Marian Konopinski, Father Alojzy Liguda, Father Pawel Prabucki, Bishop Michal Kozal, and Father Stefan Wincenty Frelichowski.

The dialogues are the result of adaptation of the original notes of the protagonists (e.g. camp letters), as well as fragments of the notes of their companions and historical and biographical publications.
