A documentary following shoes donated from children in the suburbs of Scotland to young Syrian refugees in the settlements in Lebanon. At its heart this a childrens' story. It is as much about the children who donate as the those who receives the shoes.
Colin Macrae is South African filmmaker committed to making films that tell positive stories from the developing world. He graduated with a first class degree in Television from Edinburgh Napier University. A recipient of the Royal Television Society Bursary he graduated top of the class, winning the university medal for academic achievement. His graduation film Walking in my Shoes, shot in primary schools in Scotland and refugee camps in Lebanon has been well received and is currently in further development. He is enrolled in the Master of Filmmaking program at the University of the West of Scotland.
